1966 DS 19
South Africa is well known for its rust-free cars. In 1965 Citroen switched over from the uprated traction motor used in the ID to the 5 main bearing engine and addition switched of from red hydraulic fluid to LHM (green). This example originated from 1966. This particular example was fitted with a 2175cc motor (DS 21) and five speed gear box (no visual difference), however, the original engine and gearbox (1985cc (DS19) and 4 speed gearbox, is part of this deal.
The car was completely restored ie. resprayed, re-upholstered, new exhaust, new tyres, and new aluminium radiator - the car always runs cool. Pictures tell the rest of the story.
